Dear AbbeyCare Employees:
First and foremost, we would like to express how devastated we are regarding the senseless killing of George Floyd last week. Our hearts are broken for him, his family, our community, and our city.
To our employees who may be participating in the protests happening across the cities - we stand with you and support you!
We are still in the midst of a pandemic. For the safety of your vulnerable clients, it is extremely important that you are practicing social distancing to the best of your ability, wearing a mask at all times, and washing your hands/using sanitizer regularly if you are protesting.
If you or your clients have residences in areas effected by fires and devastation, if you are in need of resources on how to obtain food supplies or do not have access to the pharmacy, please call our office. We may have some resources to assist you.
For the employees that need to travel to their clients after curfew, please have an “Essential Employee” letter with you. If you have misplaced it, please contact our office to obtain a copy.
Finally, several businesses on our street have been broken into. Our building was boarded up last week as a precautionary measure. Therefore, we currently do not have access to our mailbox. If you plan on coming to the office for any reason, please call our office in advance to ensure that someone will be available to assist you. We will keep you posted on when the boards will be removed.
We would like to express our gratitude for everything you are doing. Please be safe and take care of each other.
